KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the Peterborough County OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Lakehurst Road shortly after 7:00pm on August 9, 2021.
A witness reported that a vehicle left the roadway and had struck a hydro pole after it had previously struck another vehicle. The driver was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.
37 year old Coady Grant of Orono, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
- Fail or Refuse to comply with demand
- Dangerous driving (2 counts)
- Fail to stop after accident
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 21, 2021.
