Impaired Driving Charge Laid After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree On Highway 28

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 53-year-old Cambridge man is facing charges after a crash on Highway 28.

Police say members of the Peterborough County OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 28 at approximately 8:00pm on July 31, 2021. The witness reported that a vehicle left the roadway at a high rate of speed and struck a tree. The driver suffered minor injuries and was found to be under the influence of drugs according to police.

Scott Randall (age 53) of Cambridge, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 9, 2021.
