KAWARTHA LAKES-One person was rescued by Hastings OPP after falling almost 100 feet at the Marmora Mines in Marmora.
Police say officers, the Emergency Response Team and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre were able to safely rescue an individual who fell approximately 80-100 feet while attempting to climb the face of the mine.
This area is off-limits to the public and people are advised to abide by the No Trespassing signs posted for their own safety according to police.
There’s no word on charges but the person only sustained minor injuries.
