PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP charged two people with stunt driving this morning.
Members of the Peterborough County OPP Detachment were conducting radar patrol in the Village of Havelock this morning.
An officer allegedly clocked a vehicle travelling at 106 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone at approximately 7:45am.
The 46-year-old driver of Richmond, Ontario was charged with Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed and had their driver’s licence suspended for seven days and vehicle impounded for 14 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 13, 2021.
Officers responded to a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 115 at approximately 8:00 am this morning.
An officer located and allegedly clocked the vehicle travelling at 162 km/h in a posted 100km/h zone.
The 33-year-old driver of Toronto, Ontario was charged with Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed and the accused had their driver’s licence suspended for seven days and vehicle impounded for 14 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 13, 2021.
