KAWARTHA LAKES-The Burnt River Beach has been posted with a yellow “swimming not recommended” advisory as of July 8th 2021.

The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit says a Yellow – Advisory Posting – Medium Risk  is posted when there are high counts of bacteria in the water. Swimming is not recommended, as it may increase your risk of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose or throat infections or stomach illness.
