KAWARTHA LAKES-A powerful storm cut a swath through Kawartha Lakes on Monday evening.
Environment Canada had issued Severe Thunderstorm Watches and Warnings for the area. High winds up to 90km an hour, heavy rain and hail were predicted.
A number of trees were knocked down in and around Fenelon Falls.
There are reports of trees down near Valentia. High winds and powerful waves came ashore near Dunsford.
Hydro One is reporting approximately 50 outages in our area with about 2100 homes without power. Cable Cable is reporting multiple outages as well.
There are no reports of any injuries.
