Coronavirus Outbreak Declared At 68 Lindsay Street North Housing Complex

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit has declared a Coronavirus outbreak at a City-owned housing complex in Lindsay.

It is unclear how many cases are linked to the outbreak at 68 Lindsay Street North in Lindsay. There were six new cases reported in the City of Kawartha Lakes today bringing the total active cases to 12. The health unit says they are following 23 high-risk contacts and there is one additional probable case. 58 people have died of the virus in Kawartha Lakes.

The building houses 24 one-bedroom apartments that are geared-to-income. The goal of the facility is to help people transition out of homelessness according to the City.
