Terry Jones Named Acting City Of Kawartha Lakes Fire Chief

KAWARTHA LAKES-Terry Jones has been named acting fire chief in the City of Kawartha Lakes after the retirement of Chief Mark Pankhurst.

Pankhurst announced his retirement at the end of May. He has been Chief for 10 years and with the fire department in various positions for more than 28 years. He started his career in 1989 with Ajax Fire and Emergency Services. He signed off for the last time today.

Terry Jones has been with the City of Kawartha Lakes Fire Department for 39 years and was Deputy Chief since January 2017.

The City is currently recruiting for the full time Fire Chief position.
