OPP Investigating Reports Of A Drive-By Shooting In Bobcaygeon

KAWARTHA LAKES-City Of Kawartha Lakes OPP is investigating reports of a drive-by shooting in Bobcaygeon just after 9:30pm Saturday night.

Police say the initial investigation indicated that a sport bike style motorcycle approached a Ford F-150 pickup truck on Front Street near Gordon Yacht Harbour and fired multiple shots. Both vehicles sped away from the area and a second round of gun fire occurred in the vicinity of Anne Street and East Street.

At this time there are no reported injuries and no public safety concerns. It’s unclear what prompted the incident.

An officer from the OPP’s Forensic Identification Services attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

Police are working to identify the involved parties and request that anyone having information related to this occurrence contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to www.khcrimestoppers.com and submitting an anonymous tip online.
