Peterborough Man Facing Drug And Gun Charges After Crash In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 33 year old Peterborough man is facing drug and gun charges after a crash in Lindsay.

Police say on Thursday May 20, 2021 at 12:00pm the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service took a report of an accident on Colborne Street in Lindsay involving two vehicles, one of which fled the scene.  Police later received a report of a driver acting strangely in the area of Highway 7 and Peace Road. Officers attended the area, located the alleged vehicle which was parked on the roadside.

An investigation revealed it was the vehicle involved in the fail to remain accident according to police.

As a result of this investigation, 33-year-old Tyler MacMillan of Peterborough has been charged with possession of a scheduled I substance, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, obstruct peace officer and two charges in contravention of the Highway Traffic Act.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on June 24, 2021.
