UPDATE:Peterborough Police Service has determined that the child fall incident on Wednesday was accidental and no further investigation is required. Friends say the boy has a broken femur.
The 2.5 year old child was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre and then sent to a Toronto-based hospital for further treatment.
PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough Police Service is on scene investigating after receiving reports that a young child fell out of a window of a building on Hunter Street West just after 2pm on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
Witnesses say the child fell from the window of a unit on the third floor.
Officers are in the area canvassing for information and there will be enhanced police activity during the investigation.
The child was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with undetermined injuries.
