Coronavirus Outbreak Declared At Fenelon Court Long Term Care

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Coronavirus outbreak has been declared at Fenelon Court Long Term Care Home in Fenelon Falls.

The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit declared the outbreak on April 11th.

It’s unclear how many cases are linked to the outbreak or if it involves staff or residents. We have emailed the health unit for more information but have not yet heard back.

There were 11 new cases of the virus in Kawartha Lakes yesterday and two today. There are 35 active cases of the virus in Kawartha Lakes at this time with the Health Unit tracking 73 high risk contacts. 55 people have died to date. Ross Memorial Hospital currently has 5 patients admitted including some transferred from out of town.
