Landlord-Tenant Dispute In Lindsay Leads To Charges Under Reopening Ontario Act

KAWARTHA LAKES-A landlord-tenant dispute in Lindsay has resulted in charges under the Reopening Ontario Act.

Police say on Tuesday March 9, 2021 at 12:51pm the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a landlord-tenant dispute in Lindsay. As a result of an investigation, two individuals were charged with failing to comply with a continued section 7.0.2 noncompliance order, one individual charged with obstructing a peace officer contrary to the Reopening Ontario Act and issued tickets. 

“Community safety has been and remains our number one priority throughout this pandemic. The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Services is committed to working with community partners in balancing overall public safety and health.” said Sgt Deb Hagarty in a press release.
