KAWARTHA LAKES-A 25-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after a robbery at a Lindsay business earlier this week.
On March 3 at 1:19 am the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a Lindsay Street South business reporting a robbery. A lone suspect entered the store, proceeded behind the counter and while holding a knife demanded money according to police. The suspect reportedly removed a quantity of cash from the cash register and left the store.
Police say on Thursday, March 4th members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Criminal Investigation Unit, arrested a male for the robbery.
25-year-old Gregory Ackerman of Lindsay has been charged with:Â
- Robbery with violence
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Disguise with intentÂ
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay onÂ
