KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service has made an arrest after the Bank of Montreal in Lindsay was robbed on Thursday afternoon.
Police say a suspect entered the bank, approached a teller with a note indicating he had a gun and demanded cash. After receiving a quantity of cash, the suspect left the bank on foot in a westbound direction.
A forensics identification officer attended to collect physical evidence from the scene. The branch was closed while police investigated.
31-year-old Travis Sprague of Lindsay has been charged with:
- Robbery with violence
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Disguise with intent
- Fail to comply with probation X3
The accused was held in custody to attend a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
