Special Weather Statement Issued For Possible Heavy Snowfall

UPDATE:STATEMENT ENDED AND SNOWFALL WARNING ISSUED

KAWARTHA LAKES-Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statment for possible heavy snowfall coming our way.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Apsley – Woodview – Northern Peterborough County
  • Lindsay – Southern Kawartha Lakes
  • Peterborough City – Lakefield – Southern Peterborough County

Heavy snowfall likely Monday night into Tuesday according to officials.

Light snow is expected to affect the area Monday morning and afternoon with a few centimetres possible.

A much more significant area of snow will move into the region Monday evening. The snow will likely fall heavily at times and continue into Tuesday morning. Total amounts of 15 to 25 cm are possible.

Snowfall warnings may be issued as this event draws closer.
