Police Reminding Residents To Fully Clear Snow Off Your Vehicle

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is reminding residents to clear the snow off your vehicle before heading out onto the roads or face the consequences.

Police say the driver in the photo above was ticketed today in Lindsay for failing to clear vehicle of snow and ensuring you could see out all of the windows.

“Take time to clear the snow off your entire vehicle and drive according to weather conditions,” KLPS said on Twitter.

Police say the fine for failing to clear the windows of a vehicle is $110 and if police see debris, including chunks of ice, falling from a vehicle the fine could be increased to $130.
