KAWARTHA LAKES-A 32 year old Coboconk man is facing charges after a concerned citizen called police.
Police say on January 31, 2021 at 11:20pm, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a call for service to attended a Lindsay Street South gas station. It was reported that a male was passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle, in the parking lot. Officers attended the location and while speaking with the driver observed signs of impairment and drug use according to police.
As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old Liam Chynoweth of Coboconk has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle – alcohol and drugs and possession of a controlled substance.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on April 1, 2021.
