35 New Cases Of Coronavirus Reported In Kawartha Lakes Today

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting 35 new cases of Coronavirus in Kawartha Lakes today.

Some of these cases are most likely related to the outbreak at Caressant Care on McLaughlin Road in Lindsay. There are now 33 cases of the virus being reported at the long term care facility. 18 residents and 15 staff.  An outbreak was declared at the facility on January 9th.

According to the health unit there are now 53 active cases of Coronavirus in Kawartha Lakes with officials tracking 72 high risk contacts. Three people remain in Ross Memorial Hospital with the virus.

To date there’s been 377 cases in Kawartha Lakes with 301 resolved.
