KAWARTHA LAKES-A recent vehicle stop conducted by Kawartha Lakes OPP resulted in the driver being arrested and charged with multiple offences.
Police say on January 19, 2021 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP responded to a traffic complaint and conducted a vehicle stop on Queen Street in Fenelon Falls. The ensuing investigation resulted in the driver, Patrick MacIsaac, 30 years of age, of Uxbridge, being charged with the following offences:
- 2 counts of driving while under suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
- Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, contrary to the Criminal Code
- Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court, contrary to the Criminal Code
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on April 1, 2021.
