Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Parts Of Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-A winter weather travel advisory in effect for this morning.

Weather advisory in effect for:

  • Lindsay – Southern Kawartha Lakes
  • Peterborough City – Lakefield – Southern Peterborough County

Environment Canada says snow will continue over the regions this morning and end by mid morning. Travel may be hazardous for a few hours in the morning due to rapidly accumulating snow, slippery conditions and reduced visibility. Generally 2 to 5 centimetres of snow is expected with locally higher amounts possible over higher elevations. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing during the middle to late morning and precipitation will become light or mix with showers giving improved travel conditions.
