New Skating Oval Built at Logie Park in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A new refrigerated skating oval has been built at Logie Park in Lindsay.

The redevelopment of Logie Park followed a Canadiana theme. The skating loop fit into that theme and was an element that the public was interested in having included in the design according to the City.

The loop is 133 linear feet by 91 linear feet. The cost was included in the overall redevelopment of the park. The total project cost is approximately $4.5 million.

It will be open to the public and free to use. Residents will be asked to follow COVID-19 protocols when using the facility.

Mid-January is the anticipated opening date, depending on factors including weather and pandemic protocols.

The park on the corner of Logie Street and Lindsay Street South was redeveloped to feature a splash pad, new play area, sports path network and more.
