Lindsay man charged with possession of methamphetamine

KAWARTHA LAKE-A Lindsay man has been charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Police say on November 3, 2020 the Kawartha Lakes Police Service Street Crime Unit observed a man exit an apartment building in Lindsay, which the man had been ordered by the Court to remain away from.

The man was also “wanted” on the strength of an arrest warrant for failing to comply with the conditions of his release from custody according to police.

Officers approached the man, arrested him and reportedly found him to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.

30-year-old Tyler Dasilva of Lindsay has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with his recognizance of bail and possession of a controlled substance.  The accused was held in custody to attend a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
