Charges laid after vehicle crashes into parked car on Georgian Street in Lindsay


KAWARTHA LAKES-A 23 year old man is facing charges after a collision on Georgian Street in Lindsay.

Police say on Monday October 12th  at 8:45PM, a vehicle traveling on Georgian Street in Lindsay lost control, and collided with a parked vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the collision and continued travelling for a short distance before parking in a driveway according to police. 

Witnesses reportedly observed the driver and two occupants exit the vehicle and flee the area before police were notified of the collision.  The Kawartha Lakes Police Service investigated the incident and determined the alleged identity of the person who had been driving the vehicle.  On October 15th the suspect was located and arrested. 

23-year-old Tyler Michael Trumble of Lindsay has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, in addition to several Highway Traffic Act offences.  The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on December 17, 2020.
