KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP is looking for the assistance of the public to find the person or persons responsible for a break, enter and theft that occurred yesterday afternoon, September 24, 2020.
Police say between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm a residence on Waite Road was broken into and a number of items were stolen, including the remains of a deceased family member. The remains were contained in a thick cardboard box wrapped in a dark red velvet bag with gold drawstrings.
Police are asking the public to provide information on any suspicious vehicles or persons that were observed in the area of Ballyduff Road and Waite Road between 2:30pm and 4:00pm.
