OPP investigating several cases of unlocked vehicles being “broken into” over the weekend

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP is currently investigating multiple incidents of unlocked vehicles being broken into over the weekend.

Police say on August 30, 2020 an OPP officer responded to multiple complaints received from residence in the Woodville area in relation to unlocked vehicles being entered overnight. Items stolen from the vehicles included wallets, a camera and loose change.

The OPP would like to remind everyone that when a vehicle is unoccupied, it should be locked and all items of value should be stored out of view.

Anyone having information on this crime or any others is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to www.kh.crimestoppersweb.com and submitting an anonymous tip online
