66 year old grandmother from Lindsay wins $50,000

KAWARTHA LAKES- Judith, a 66-year old retired waitress, was at home trying to beat the heat from the summer when she uncovered her win. “The last number made my day,” she shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque. “A box had formed on my INSTANT BINGO ticket – my heart was pounding,” she says.

When Judith’s husband came home, she asked him to do her a favour. “I said, ‘would you please check the numbers on this ticket?’ He noticed the box immediately and was very excited. It took a while for the shock to subside,” she smiled.

The mother of two and grandmother of two says that she hasn’t made any decisions for her winnings yet. “We have a lot of ideas running through our minds. My daughter says it’s important to do something for myself though I would love to share this with my kids. So maybe we will do some work on our house,” she concluded.
