Police seeking the public’s assistance after break in at Esso station on Highway 7

KAWARTHA LAKES-Here’s an update to a story we first told you about earlier this week.

The OPP is investigating a break, enter and theft in which cash and cigarettes were stolen from a local business.

Police say on July 14, 2020, just after 3:00 a.m. officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP attended a gas station located on Highway 7, West of Oakwood in response to an alarm call. The OPP’s Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

Anyone having information on this crime or any others is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to www.kh.crimestoppersweb.com and submitting an anonymous tip online.
