30 year old woman charged after crash on Pigeon Lake Road

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 30 year old woman is facing charges after a crash on Pigeon Lake Road.

Police say on July 15, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a two vehicle collision on Pigeon Lake Road. Upon arrival on scene, the officer noted that there was a vehicle in the ditch according to police. The ensuing investigation resulted in the officer suspecting that the driver of this vehicle was impaired.

As a result of the investigation, local resident Ashley Budden, 30 years of age, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Driving while under suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on September 24, 2020.
