Police looking for suspect after memorial for fallen officers was defaced

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP is looking to identify a suspect after a memorial honouring fallen police officers was defaced.

Police say on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at approximately 7:50pm, members of the Ontario Provincial Police – Queen’s Park detachment discovered that the Ontario Police Memorial Monument, which honours fallen officers, had been defaced with red spray paint.

A review of security cameras identified a female of interest, near the location just prior to the offence.

Police are requesting anyone with information to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or to submit a tip online www.p3tips.com
