Possible tornado touched down at Sturgeon Point near Fenelon Falls this afternoon

KAWARTHA LAKE- A scary afternoon for residents of Sturgeon Point after a possible tornado touched down this afternoon.

Witnesses say it came rolling in around 3pm, busting up docks and boathouses and tossing cement blocks into the air.

Ashleigh Stewart was on a meeting call working from home when it happened.

“So I’m on a meeting call working from home, I see a huge water spout on the lake. I couldn’t video because I was on a call on my phone. Not long after my mom calls and it made landfall at her neighbours home. This is what’s left of their boathouse.”

There’s no confirmation yet that it was in fact a Tornado. Environment Canada has been called.

No one was injured.

More to come…
