Former employee charged with forging prescriptions and filling them at pharmacies in Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 40 year old Selwyn Township resident is facing charges after allegedly forging prescriptions and filling them at pharmacies in Peterborough County and the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Police say on February 19, 2020 at approximately 9:30am, members of the Peterborough County OPP began an investigation regarding the forgery of medical prescriptions. The complainant reported that a former employee is suspected of forging the prescriptions and filling them at pharmacies in Peterborough County and the City of Kawartha Lakes. The suspect was arrested yesterday afternoon.

40 year old Jaime Flannigan of Selwyn Township was arrested and charged with:

  • Use, deals, acts on forged document-nine counts
  • Possession of schedule I substance-opioid-eight counts
  • Forgery
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on July 28, 2020.
