KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people are facing charges after allegedly beling clocked going 50km an our over the speed limit on Highway7.
It happened on February 23 when police were patrolling on Highway 7 near White Rock Road when two vehicles were observed travelling at a high rate of speed.
The officer stopped both vehicles and charged each driver with speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The first vehicle was travelling at 137 km/h in an 80 km/h zone, being operated by a 20 year old Lindsay resident. The second vehicle was being driven by a 21 year old Lindsay resident, at 133km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
The OPP is reminding motorists that speed is a contributing factor to many serious collisions.
