KAWARTHA LAKES-One person is facing charges after police were called to a domestic altercation occuring on the shoulder of Meadowview Road on January 22nd.
Kawartha Lakes OPP officers were able to locate the suspect and the ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of the alleged involved party, who is now charged with the following offences:
- Assault, contrary to the Criminal Code
- Resist Peace Officer, contrary to the Criminal Code
Due to the domestic nature of the incident no names have been released.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on February 26, 2020.
