Fenelon Falls resident wins $1 million

KAWARTHA LAKES-Renate Hauswirth of Fenelon Falls is a millionaire after winning the Guaranteed $1 Million Prize in the December 14, 2019 LOTTO 6/49 draw.

“I’ve been playing for over 30 years,” shared Renate, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque.

Renate, a mother of one, was shocked when she discovered her big win. “I had to check my ticket a couple of times to believe it!”

The 76-year old retiree plans to travel across Canada and go to Portugal.

“This is unbelievable,” she concluded. “Dreams do come true!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Fenelon Discount on Colborne Street in Fenelon Falls.
