Hops and history converge at Fenelon Falls Brewing Company

KAWARTHA LAKES-A former Livery Stable from the 1800’s has been turned into a craft brewery in Fenelon Falls. A Livery Stable was a stable where horses, teams and wagons were for hire, but also where privately owned horses could be boarded for a short time. With the advent of the automobile after 1910, the livery stables disappeared. Over the years the old stone building on May Street housed a variety of other businesses including a gift shop. Now after much planning and renovation it’s home to the Fenelon Falls Brewing Company. While the brewhouse is “state of the art” some of the history has been preserved.
