Lindsay man charged with threatening to blow up Durham area restaurant

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to blow up a Durham area restaurant.

Police say on November 11, 2019 at 1:13am a man allegedly used a payphone in Lindsay to call a Durham Region area restaurant. When an employee answered the telephone, the man threatened that he had left a bomb at the restaurant, which would detonate in one hour.

The Durham Region Police Service responded to the restaurant to investigate the threat. With the assistance of the Kawartha Lakes Poice Service a Lindsay man was arrested a short time later for uttering the threat.

39-year-old Joshua Alfred Kimble of Lindsay has been charged with uttering threat to cause death, mischief to property and two counts of failing to comply with his probation order.
