Major cell service outage across southern Ontario Saturday morning

KAWARTHA LAKES-Thousands of people are currently experiencing a cell phone or internet outage across Southern Ontario. There are also sporadic outages reported down east and out west, although the biggest issue appears to be Southern Ontario.

There are reports of outages in Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon, Dunsford, Lindsay, Peterborough, Toronto, Courtice and more.

The outage is affecting Telus, Bell and Koodo as well as some smaller providers. Some people are experiencing a total blackout of all services while others have lost cell or internet service.

There are reports some debit machines at local businesses are also affected.

Bell Canada says they are aware of the issue and expect to have everything restored before noon.

Some customers report service was restored at approximately 10:30am.
