Traffic complaints lead to alcohol related driving charge

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 27 year old local man is facing charges after a traffic complaint from the public.

Police say on October 6, 2019 the Ontario Provincial Police received a complaint related to a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Glenarm Road. This was followed by a related complaint in Fenelon Falls.

Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP located the alleged vehicle and the operator at a residence and an investigation ensured. The reported driver, a 27 year old man was charged with the Criminal Code offence of Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on November 14, 2019.
