Police issue warrant for suspect in Haliburton assault, warn public not to approach him

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP is looking for a man wanted in an assault in Haliburton and are warning the public not to approach him.

Police say on September 03, 2019, shortly before 2:00 a.m. members of the Haliburton Highlands OPP were called to assist paramedics with a male who had been assaulted.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released from hospital.

Michael Bond Maguire, 37-years-old male from Dysart Et Al Township has been identified as the suspect in this incident. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. If you know the whereabouts of the male, don’t approach him and contact 911.

The incident remains under investigation by crime unit members at the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the OPP.
