100 year old German cannon standing on the shore of Sturgeon Lake donated to Artillery museum

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 100 year old German cannon stood guard on the shore of Sturgeon Lake near Dunsford for 80 years. It was recently donated to the Royal Canadian Artillery Museum in Shilo Manitoba and moved from Dunsford amid much pomp and ceremony. How did the cannon get to Dunsford and why?
