PETERBOROUGH-The Peterborough Police Service is looking for witnesses after a serious incident that occurred at approximately 11:30 pm Thursday night.
Police say emergency services located a male with apparent stab wounds near the intersection of Hunter and Water Street. Moments later emergency services located a second male with stab wounds near Aylmer and Dublin Street. Both males were taken to PRHC for treatment and have since been released.
It is believed the cause of both the male’s injuries are related and the event(s) may have been initiated at or near the Victoria Park area where a makeshift homeless camp has been set up.
Police closed portions of Water Street, Brock Street and Murray Street to conduct their investigation.
At this time there is no threat to public safety according to police.
