Fenelon Falls man charged with impaired driving and fraudulently obtaining food

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Fenelon Falls man is facing impaired driving charges after allegedly leaving a restaurant without paying his bill.

Police say on August 1, 2019 at 11:31pm the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service was contacted by the staff of a restaurant on Kent Street west in Lindsay after a customer left the restaurant without paying for his food and drink bill.

Witnesses reported to police that the man was also impaired and had left the restaurant driving east on Kent Street. City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service officers located the man a short time later and placed him under arrest.

Charged with fraudulently obtaining food, impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood is 43-year-old Bradley Joseph Lyons of Fenelon Falls.
