KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man was allegedly stabbed by his tenant with a pair of scissors.
Police say on Saturday May 10th at 8:45pm a landlord of a home in Lindsay confronted his tenant about an excessive amount of noise coming from the tenant’s room. The tenant allegedly picked up a pair of scissors and struck the landlord in the face, causing a deep gash.
The tenant fled from the house according to police and the landlord was taken to Ross Memorial Hospital for medical attention.
Officers located the tenant later in the evening and attempted to take him into custody. Police say the man assaulted one of the officers and tried to run away, but was arrested after a short foot pursuit.
A 24-year-old Lindsay man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with intent to resist arrest and failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.
The man was held in custody in order to attend a bail hearing on May 11, 2019. In order to protect the identity of the victim of this incident, the name of the accused is not being released.
