KAWARTHA LAKES-A 71-year-old male from Lindsay is facing multiple drug-related charges after he was arrested for allegedly dealing drugs in Oshawa.
Police say on Friday March 29th members of the Central East Division Target Team commenced an investigation into a male suspected of dealing drugs from his vehicle in Oshawa. Throughout the evening the male was observed making several stops to conduct drug transactions according to police. He was stopped by police in the area of Elgin Street in Oshawa and arrested. Police say he was found in possession of a number of pills including Codeine, Dilaudid, Oxycocet and a quantity of cash.
A search warrant was conducted in the garage of an Oshawa residence where the suspect was residing. Officers seized more pills, mushrooms, drug paraphernalia and cash.
In total almost $30,000 in drugs and cash was seized.
Odel Dignard age 71, of Lindsay is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I (x4) and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (x2). He was held for a bail hearing.
