KAWARTHA LAKES-Oakwood firefighters helped rescue a second horse that had fallen in an icy field.
It happened Tuesday afternoon near Oakwood. Firefighters hooked the horse up to a tractor and held her up until she got strength back into her hind legs.
The horse is now standing and doing well according to fire crews on the scene.
On Friday a 34 year old Clydesdale cross named Clyde was also rescued by firefighters from Oakwood. This rescue was much more challenging though.
