KAWARTHA LAKES-A local man is facing charges after bomb threats were allegedly called in to Pearson Airport.
Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Airport Division Criminal Investigation Bureau were investigating several bomb threats made toward the Greater Toronto Airport Authority in Mississauga.
Police say on Saturday, December 15, 2018 between 5:45 p.m. and 8:55 p.m., police investigated several phone calls that were made to the main phone line of the Toronto Pearson Airport advising that bombs had been placed on the property.
On Sunday, December 16, 2018, Joshua Kimble, a 38 year old man from Lindsay, was arrested and charged with two counts of Convey False Message and one count of Breach of Probation.
Last February Kimble was charged with making similar threats to three businesses in Peterborough between Jan. 22 and Jan. 23. With assistance from the Kawartha Lakes OPP, the calls were traced to Cobconk, where Kimble was reportedly living at the time.
In 2007 Kimble was found not criminally responsible after being charged with two counts of arson.
