Two people charged with stunt driving on Highway 115

KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people are without their vehicle and their licences today after being charged with stunt driving on Highway 115.

Members of the Peterborough County OPP were conducting radar patrol on Highway 115 on December 13, 2018. Shortly after 1:00am, an officer allegedly clocked a vehicle travelling at 152km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.

Ioan GUTA (age 30) of Scarborough, Ontario was charged with:

  • Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed
  • Licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver
  • Drive while under suspension

His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle was impounded.

Officers were conducting radar patrol on Highway 115 on December 12, 2018. Shortly after 7:00pm, an officer clocked a vehicle travelling at 180km/h in a posted 100km/h zone.

Majesta MONETTE (age 42) of Manvers Township, Ontario was charged with:

  • Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

Her driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle was impounded.
