OPP officer charged with Uttering Threats

KAWARTHA LAKES-An OPP officer in the City of Kawartha Lakes has been charged criminally.

On December 11, 2018, members of the Professional Standards Bureau of the Ontario Provincial Police  began an investigation into a domestic incident involving an off duty officer. Police say the Provincial Constable, a 32-year-member of the Central Region Highway Safety Division, was charged with one count of Uttering threats in relation to a domestic incident contrary to the provisions of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The officer continues to be on extended leave and will be scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Kawartha Lakes on a future date.
