Teen charged after home in Fenelon Falls broken into

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 16 year old is facing charges in connection with a reported break-in in Fenelon Falls.

On December 3, 2018 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP responded to a residence in the Fenelon Falls area after a 9-1-1 call was received. Police say their initial investigation indicated that a male youth had broken into the residence and threatened the occupant, who was also a youth. No one was injured.

The suspect was quickly located and arrested. A 16 year old male has been charged with the following offences:

  • Assault with a weapon, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Break and enter a dwelling house, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Person under 19 years having liquor, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act
  • Person under 19 years – possess cannabis, contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
